Same thing again.... I will get back to you later.

More oddness last night....

Windows Update said it had 20 updates available.
When I clicked to install them, suddenly only 18 were downloading/installing.
Then it said 10 succeeded and 10 failed.
Restarted.
Now only THREE updates available and all were from 2/10/2015. Two were auto-selected, so I tried those two only w/out selecting the third.
Both failed and when I checked available updates, there were 11 listed.
Tried to install them. Only one succeeded.
Shut down the computer and it said it was trying to install 8 updates.
Upon restart 2 updates available, both from 2/10/2015. Tried to install but WU appeared stuck (0% downloaded after 30 minutes.)
Cancelled update and tried again.
10 available. 1 succeeded one failed.

Is demonic possession a possibility???:noidea:

Is demonic possession a possibility???

That would be my first guess!

As some updates installed and some failed, lets get an other fresh lot of scans done to make sure that the same error is still occuring.

Please run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) once that is done please run SFC /SCANNOW and upload a new CBS folder.

SFC /SCANNOW:

Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

New CBS:https://www.dropbox.com/s/nhzhvvtuh40g6ea/CBS.zip?dl=0

And today Windows Update says there all 11 important updates (one is an Office Update from yesterday, apparently) but I won't attempt installation until I hear from you.

SURT is showing the same issue that we where having with SFC before:
Code:
Checking Component Store
(f)	CSI Mismatched Identity	0x00000000	appid	6a6f4875757..827a5d031	appid and keyform do not match; appid is wrong.
(f)	CSI Corrupt Component Keyform	0x00000000	identity	amd64_6a6f4875757b66f16c6	identity and keyform do not match and neither is right.

I will be back with a fix soon!

Alex

The first script did not complete correctly, it only add half of the correct key names and not the full lot :S

I have upload a new script and attached it to this post, please run this SFCScript file.

I didn't run SFC /SCANNOW or post a new cbs log since you didn't request that specifically this time. I can, of course, do both but didn't want to just stumble ahead if that wasn't wanted at this point.

Grazie,
beac

That log looks good, I wanted to make sure it worked before asking for further scans.

Please run SURT and post a new CheckSur log.

Can you please run Windows updates again? if it fails please upload a new CBS log.

Alex
