PS: Here is my attached CBS logfile. Also here is the result of my sfc /scannow

...

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example

Also, please re-run sfc /scannow, and see whether that problem is now resolved.

Hello again :)

I am pleased with our progress so far. We've fixed the SFC corruption and that leaves probably a couple of corrupt .manifest/.cat/.mum files only in a CheckSUR.log which we shall generate.

I need you to do the following for me please:

Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

  1. Download the System Update Readiness Tool from Microsoft --> here <-- Please save the tool to a convenient location as it may be necessary to run it again.
  2. After the download has completed, double-click the file and wait while it initializes.
  3. Click Yes to begin installation. Please note it may take some time to complete and may appear to stall whilst installing. Don't worry, this is perfectly normal behaviour. Also note, whilst I say "installing", it's actually running the tool and can therefore be "installed" (run) repeatedly.

When complete, please upload C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log.

Thank you!

Richard

Hi Richard,

I have completed the download and installation of this file (436MB).

Here is the result and the attachment of the CheckSUR.persist.log file ...

Thanks,
