[SOLVED] [Win7SP1 x86] Javascript doesn't run on MSIE11 (part one)

Hello

For a week I have problems with my IE 11 on Windows 7 32 bit. It found them when Skype has updated itself and stop signing in. I got some help from Skype Community and it appeared that the problem is with IE which do not run JavaScript.
I tried all the solutions I have found - removing IE from Windows updates and reinstalling, removing it form Windows features and reinstalling, reset Internet options , restarted regsvr32 jscript.dll - nothing helped.

It still refuses to run JavaScript. I make the test with this website:JavaScript Tester at Java Tester Website

Any help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

KIS 17 still trial. I have installed it 3 weeks ago and there were no issues. Nevertheless I have paused it prior to start IE - no success. I have tried to start IE in Safe mode - same result - no JavaScript.

Try to uninstall kis with their removal tool (click), (enable windows defender,) then restart windows and see if the problem will be still there.

When you remove a product using the kavremover tool, license information is also removed. Make sure you have the license key or the activation code stored elsewhere so that you can use it again later.

Unfortunately - same result. Still there is not JavaScript. Should I reinstall KIS again?

Is service pack 1 installed on your machine?
And did you installed all windows updates?
Did you try to run the MS SFC tool? (i.e., sfc /scannow -- the result should say something like "found NO integrity violations")
Did you try to use another pc/device on your connection?
Is the connection yours, or are you using a connection provided for you by your employer?
Are you using (or have you used in the past) special software for tweaking windows registry? (such as iobit advanced systemcare, wisecleaner wise care 365, regseeker, and similar software)
Did you modify any group policy settings? (these are present in windows 7 professional and higher, but they exists also as registry settings in lower versions)

1. Yes, it is installed
2. I have all the updates
3. I have used SFC many times. It showed some problems for a long time (atiilhag.sys and some help file). I do not think they a relevant.
4&5. I have a home network with wireless router. There are 1 desktop (the one with the problem) and 1 laptop. Occasionally some smartphones are connected.
6. I have used many of them. Recently I use Vit registry fix and revo uninstaller.
7. I cannot remember but it is possible

Did you check if javascript scripts work on another browser?

(Vit registry fix portable version doesn't work on my system, maybe because I've set DEP to AlwaysOn)

Run the following command from an elevated command prompt, wait till it finishes, then post its result here (you'll find the file gpresult.txt on your desktop):

Check what these webpages say about JavaScript (enabled or not), using internet explorer 11 (i.e., test javascript also with these webpages):

Whatismybrowser.com - Is JavaScript Enabled?

Enable-JavaScript.com - How to enable JavaScript in your browser and why
Geenee.com - Check that Javascript is enabled (click the first link: Check if JavaScript is enabled on this browser)
Bom.gov.au - Check If Javascript Is Enabled (click the button: Test Javascript)

Click windows start, type directly msconfig, press enter: in the "system configuration" window that should appear, in the "general" tab, check if the radio button is on normal startup.

The registry key, we have checked at 12th and 13th posts, shows javascript is enabled in MSIE11.

Let's see what sfc tells.
Open an elevated command prompt, run sfc /scannow, wait till it finishes, then:
  • export (copy) and zip/compress the entire CBS folder (it's in c:\windows\logs\CBS) on your desktop
  • open a new topic in the windows update sub-forum (in sysnative.com)
  • attach that zipped file to that new topic

If the CBS compressed folder will be too large, you can check the second post on Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions (click) (to use the sfcfix tool with a script) or you can use a (possibly fast) web service like MS OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox, Box, Mega, Apple iCloud, Amazon Cloud Drive, and so forth...

I didn't expect Java Script to work after this. My job was to get all of the Windows Update/Servicing issues resolved. Please go back to your original thread and let them know that all of the Windows Update/Servicing issues have been resolved in this thread so they can continue to work with you knowing that this isn't part of the issue.

I am expecting your instruction how to proceed.
