Windows Update KB2267602 Failed

I haven't ever notice it restarting on it's own, and whenever it's on i'm using it, pretty much. Besides, I don't know how to check any of that, it is a pre-built desktop from DigitalStorm, it's called the "Vanquish II Level 3". The specs for it are on my sysnative profile. I don't think it's overclocked. I don't know how to check the memory. I'm sure the PSU supplies enough watts. I don't think it's overheating, it shouldn't be. I think it is running on default configuration, if it isn't I don't know how to reset it. :noidea:

Since you have never seen it shut off while in use, how are you shutting it down by pressing the power button or using Windows orb shut down menu?

That's fine, you can also right click on the Window icon in the lower left and choose the shut down options.

Have you ever left a program running and come back to find it's no longer running like the PC shut down and restarted?

From what you can remember do the times look to be around the times you would have shut the system down on dates listed?

Some of the dates look to be times that I would turn the computer off. I don't remember if I did at that time for any of the errors though.

One last thing, lets get a look at the temps and voltages.

D/L and run Hardware Monitor do something intense like a virus scan or gaming for a bit, Alt+Tab back to HWM expand all the trees and use the Windows snipping tool to grab a screen shot of the HWM window, post the screen shot using the paperclip button in the advanced message box(Go Advanced button).

I think this is what you want. I used the "PrtScn" button on my keyboard and paint to get a screenshot. This screenshot is after hours of playing a low stress game for my system, and around 25% completion for Avast full system scan.

I think it may be hung on a installing a update when you turn the switch off.

Finish with the update repair and if it is still happening we'll look at it again.

Do you use CCleaner or any registry cleaners?

Try and run the installation again, it will most likely fail. The post a new copy of the WindowsUpdate.log

I don't use any registry cleaners, and I can't retry the installation. All my update history, before you had me rename those folders inside the SoftwareDistribution folder, is gone. Even when I had my update history, I never seen anything that said "Reinstall" or anything like that.

No. Is there a way to go back and see my update history before I renamed those files? Maybe it had a failure but automatically reinstalled correctly later?

Then the issue is fixed :)

Open up the Start menu and type in Windows update -> You should see an option View your update history for Windows
