So apparently PINTLGB.IMD is corrupt according to SFC

and this is causing all windows updates to cause windows to fail to load.

How do I fix this? I've been reading the forums and read something about SFCfix

Also attached is my cbs.txt if it helps.

Also my computer model is a Asus G74SX and I am on Windows 7 Home Premium if that helps at all

Hello,

The log you provided doesn't actually indicate which PINTLGB is corrupt, there are a few of them. Can you please upload the whole CBS folder for me please?

Export CBS folder

  1. Right click on the
    aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.jpg
    button
  2. Click on File Explorer
  3. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  4. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  5. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  6. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  7. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  8. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  9. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

I am at work right now but I will test this when I get home.

I do recall it saying both the store copy and the current copy in the directory are corrupt. I'll do this when I get home.

Ran into some oddball issues that were causing the SURT Tool to fail to install the KB

I might have those fixed. Sorry about the lack of response.

Got em!

By the looks of things it isnt finding any problems, I did defrag my computer using Defraggler the other day for an unrelated reason of wanting to partition to install Ubuntu 14.04 (Not enough continuous space to shrink the volume lol). Did I just accidentally fix this whole issue or something?

Something must of repaired somewhere :)

Lets do a final scan with SFC to see how that goes:

SFC /SCANNOW

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button. Inside the search box type in CMD
  2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with the rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button => Inside the search box copy and paste the following command:
    Code:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  2. Press Enter
  3. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

That file is still showing a corrupt but this should fix for you.

Code:
