Hi,
I found your forum searching for a solution for my problems with installing Windows Update KB3000850 on my Win 8.1 x64 System.

I followed your instructions and downloaded SFCFix.exe and executed it.
During execution it comes to an error (tried multiple times).
Here is the error message:
Code:

More information is found here : "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=243077".

I also exportet the CBS directory and the DISM Log and put all into the attached ZIP File.
The SFCFix.txt is also included in the ZIP.

But I can not attach the ZIP here.
Open the "Attachment Management" and click on Add files and then on Upload.
The Upload progress runs up to 100% but then, no files are visible in the window.

***Edit***
Now it worked to attach the zip file.

Kind regards,
Rolf

Hi Rolf,

You have two corruptions here, these are the most common ones I have seen on a Windows 8 machine.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.
