Hello everyone,

I have quite an issue with my Windows 7 Pro x64-bit PC, it seems that some of the system files are corrupt.

To start with, I've been trying to update my PC with 4 updates (KB2894844, KB2937610, KB2972211, KB3037574) for around a year now and I keep getting the 800B0100 error code, they are all security updates for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1, I decided to investigate further.

I thought I'd check "Turn Windows features on or off" and see if Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is installed, but when I do open optionalfeatures.exe (as admin) it's blank.

My only option was to download and install the Windows system readiness tool, I did that and it did not fix the issue.

I have uploaded the CBS file using the script, with hopes that someone could help with this issue.

Cheers.

Hi.
I had similar problems trying to install some updates on my Windows 7 64bit. Error codes for ages.
Eventually found my Anti Virus was the whole cause. Turned off Anti Virus and checked for updates and they all installed without a hitch.
Avast was the culprit.

I wish it was as simple as that, but I have several corrupt files causing this.

On another note, I can't seem to edit my post any longer and I have the wrong SFCFix log up there, this is the one I was supposed to post:

Hello again :)

All the corruptions have been repaired, how is windows update behaving now?

Code:
Summary:
Seconds executed: 948
Found 72 errors
Fixed 72 errors

Almost there, the "Turn Windows features on or off" is not blank anymore so that's great. Most of the updates installed successfully except for two.

Capture.PNG

They are KB2972211 and KB2894844, both .Net Framework 3.5.1 security updates.

I can't edit my previous post for some reason, sorry for double posting.

I have solved the issue, I just manually downloaded the updates from Microsoft's update webpage, and they installed without a hitch.
Thank you for your help, Go The Power.

Very good work, this error is fixed 99% of the time by manually installing the update.

Glad to hear everything is working correctly.
