Would appreciate some help with Windows Update issues on a Windows 8 64-bit computer.

End result is to get Flash Player to work. It is installed through an IE10 update.
https://www.sysnative.com/forums/ge...yer-version-17-released-security-updates.html

Windows Updates are set to install automatically. However, there are a bundle of updates that failed. The IE Flash Player update initially failed, but,
then it succeeded on another try the following day. After the successful try, Windows restarted and was configuring the updates. It did not happen. When it got to 97%, it gave a notice of failure configuring Windows Updates, and the computer started reverting changes. This happens every time you try to install any updates.

Go The Power,

Thank you very much for your willingness to help.

I understand fully your predicament, one can only do so much, and right now it appears there is an overload of threads waiting for a reply.

Been looking and looking for a solution to the Windows Update failing dilemma, and decided to use the option to: Refresh PC without affecting your files

Incredibly, after the Refresh, was able to download a multitude of updates, Windows got configured without reverting changes, and all works well!!

Perhaps lost a program or two that was downloaded by the owner of the computer, but, it did not matter to her.

Again, thanks for the help.

May the force be with you! :thumbsup2:

Talked to the User today. All is well.

Thanks again!!

Have a great weekend!
