[SOLVED] Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation

Ran the SFCfix program, which showed two corruptions and fixed them. Tried running the SFC scan again and came up with identical results. It stops at the 73% point of the verification process and then says it cannot perform the operation. Here's the CBS log through Dropbox, because there is no paperclip to attach with.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative -

I've read your post over at H2G and see that your hard drive is reporting fail. You had a question as to why chkdsk is clear but the other tools still show fail. Chkdsk is a utility to assist with fixing corruption after it has already happened. The other disk testing tools (i.e. SeaTools) are provided to test your drive's performance stats, read historic error counts and other information to determine if your disk drive is health. An unhealthy drive causes the corruptions that chkdsk can sometimes fix.

So a this point I do think it is wise to continue down your path of replacing your hard drive.

Take care.
