[SOLVED] SFC help - Windows 8.1

So first things first, I guess. I ran the SFCFix in the instructions post, which gave me the "due to the extent of your corruptions..." message and ran DISM successfully. After that though, it didn't do anything. The thread seems to imply that it'll say whether or not it fixed everything it needed to, but after DISM finished I never got any more dialogue. Therefore, no log to copy-paste.

The problem I've been experiencing has only been apparent a couple times. Sometimes, I *believe* when attempting to run 32-bit software on my 64-bit OS, I get a 0xc0000007b application error, and Windows tells me to close the program. It doesn't happen often, but it's happening enough that I'd like to get it fixed so that I'm not booting into Windows XP to run the things that I can't run otherwise.

I haven't done a whole lot other than run SFC, chkdsk, and DISM. SFC and chkdsk don't fix anything, and DISM said it worked, but running SFC afterward still didn't fix everything.

Hopefully the logs will be all you need to help me address this problem - I see several errors related to AMD files (and I do have an AMD CPU) but don't know how to fix them myself.

Your file attachment system doesn't seem to be working for me, so I uploaded them to this link. Thanks very much for your help.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay.

The corruptions that you have are benign and a known issue. Microsoft is working on it. They don't affect the operation of your machine however. More information on this follows.

This update contains the following two manifests that are occasionally updated by the Diagnostic Tracking Service:

telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
utc.app.json

The two files are marked as static files in the update. When an advanced user runs the System File Checker Tool (sfc.exe), the files are unintentionally flagged as corrupted. There is no impact or corruption on a device that is running this update, and this issue will be fixed in a later service update.

So at least you know the issue you have is not a Windows Update/Servicing issue. If you want to pursue this you may want to post an inquiry in our Windows 8 forum. The experts there have much more knowledge in hardware/software than many of us have. You can let them know that you were checked out and cleared from the Windows Update forum.
