I got error code : Error 0x80070004 – 0x3000D
I tried every thing i can find to solve this.

I also tried media creation tool.

But still can't fix it.

Anyone can help to solve my problem?

Thanx

Please zip and attach C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log and SetupErr.log

I still have malwarebytes & Microsoft security essentials, but the protection module already turn off.

I already uninstalled all my antivirus/pc speed up program...
But i still get the same error...
What should i do?

How much free space is available on your drives?
Have you redirected or linked any folders from your user profile to another drive?

Hi rainbowzzz -

zcomputerwiz had something come up and asked if I can jump in and try to assist.

Can you tell me the exact make/model of your PC?

Thank you.

Thanks. Did you purchase your laptop prior to August 2013? I notice you mentioned you have 114GB free. HP says if your available storage is 128GB or less that you may be asked to provide a USB hard drive during the upgrade so keep this in mind. Please let me know.

I purchased in 2011. I already free up my space, so i have 180 GB free space. But still give me same error.

HP states that if you purchased your machine prior to August 2013 it may not be able to be upgraded. So we can try a few more things but we may not be able to do this.

If you haven't already, please follow instructions in the link below to do a Clean Boot of your machine. Once you are in a Clean Boot state go ahead and try the upgrade again. Let me know how it goes.

The only other things I can suggest are the following.

We can do a complete backup of your machine on to a USB hard drive. Then we can wipe/load Windows 7 back on to your machine and then try to do the upgrade. This will tell us if it's even possible to do with this machine. Once we know if it's possible then we can start eliminating things one at a time to see what is preventing the upgrade. You would need to have your Windows 7 DVD however. This is an extreme measure but wanted to give you the option.

Let me know. Thanks.
