[SOLVED] Please help with Windows Update error code 0x80070490

I would be really grateful if you could help me with my problem.


I'm trying to upgrade from windows 7 home premium SP1 on my ASUS G74S to windows 10 using Windows Update.
According to the FAQ on the microsoft "Get Windows 10 app doesn’t appear in Windows 7 system tray" help page, seems like I'm lacking necessary updates, like 3035583 and 2952664. I tried to get the latest updates using Windows Update, and here I faced the problem.


It doesn't see those updates, plus it can not update due to error code 648: Windows Update error 0x80070490. I ran all programs listed in microsoft FAQ, like System Update Readiness tool, "sfc /scannow" etc., but nothing helped. I also ran SFCFix.
I would appreciate if you can give me advice on my problem. Thank you.

Hi bareru :)

Can you try to upgrade to Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool instead? Simply download it, execute it and select the Upgrade this computer now option (it's the first one).
