Old Grey Gary sent me.
I have Win 10 x64 Pro.

When I open the Windows Store, the Calculator or any Store Apps they flash on screen then disappear.
SFC /scannow found errors it can't fix.
DISM runs but can't find the files despite pointing the source to a mounted Windows 10 install disc (virtually mounted, not on DVD or USB).

I tried several MS trouble shooting solutions and several solutions posted here but nothing worked.

Can you help?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named LiquidTension. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Thanks for getting back to me. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I should add that I tried to install Office 2016 (replacing Office 2013) and it
stopped part way through due to an issue with a registry entry that it did not have permission to change.
When I told it to cancel and not continue it appeared to have backed out of the install but I see that I have
a partial install of Office 2016 on my machine. That's not the issue here but I thought I should mention the issue.

I await your further instructions.
