Hello! I've never been able to update windows ever since I'd gotten my computer about 5 years ago. It was never really a big issue, everything I used didn't really require it and everything worked fine so I just put it off. Recently I bought a program that requires a certain update in windows 7 that I do not have. I've tried just about everything I could think of and research and I can not get past this 80070002 error. Any help would be great!

I'm not sure what information you need but my OS is Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit

I also tried running the SFCFix, but it's just been sitting in the same place for about 45min and doesn't seem to be running?

Thank you again for any help!

Hello! I apologize for the waste of time D: I tried updating to Windows 10 today and now everything works fine with no errors. Windows update is working well with issue and I can't find that corrupted registry file anymore. Everything that wasn't working before is now working without issue. Thank you for taking the time to check out my issue! I really appreciate it! and sorry again for taking your time D:

No problem :) Upgrading to Windows 10 will have fixed all your Windows Update issues, yes, so I'm not worried.
