Hello. Sorry for my mistakes in english in advance

Yesterday i remembred that i haven´t seen Win Update icon in a while (only that annoying update to win 10 icon), so i went to CtrlPanel to find something like 70-80 updates ready for download.

I tried downloading but after some time i saw nothing was happening (no download no error ...) so i went to Google to look for tips. The most common solution suggested was to shut down WinUpdate and delete "SoftwareDistribution" folder. I did save the original folder to desktop before i deleted it.

It only made things worse since now my update cannot even find the downloads and just hangs there looking for them. :banghead:

I tried replacing the SoftwareDistribution folder with the old one that i saved to Desktop but again but it was no good.

I use Kaspersky internet security, i have no extra firewall. I did have problems with uTorrent program a couple of days ago so i had to reinstall it during which time Kaspersky found some addware i guess. Since then i ran Kaspersky full scan and Malwarebytes anti-malware scan andd i came up clean.

I ran sfc /scannow and came up clean, altough i cannot open the log file for some reason i get Access is denied message?

Ill put my WinUpdateLog with Software distribution folder reportingEvents log in here also if its any help to you helping me.

I have trouble uploading CBS. rar (i guess it´s too big eevn tough i get no failed massage) file so im doing the step 2. like in the instructions after posting this.

I did this:
Then, once your thread has been posted:

  1. Download SFCFix.exe using the following link and save the tool to your Desktop: Download SFCFix
  2. Download SFCFixScript.txt and save this to your Desktop as well: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...cript.txt?dl=1
  3. On your Desktop, you should now see two files: SFCFixScript.txt and SFCFix.exe.
  4. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  5. SFCFix will now begin to upload your CBS logfiles to our server.

If all goes well, you should see that your logfiles have now been added to your thread.

And i got this afterwards:

SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.Start time: 2016-05-15 13:14:35.473
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64

Stuff i forgot to mention in the original post:

I had my settings to "Check for updates but let me choose when to download and install them" and i also tried before posting here today to run Win 10 upgrade and then to "Decline" what in some cases people say unblocks WinUpdate but nothing happened in a sense i didnt get to Win10 accept or decline part.

I´ve tried every microsoft Fix there is, but nothing helped. I deleted the SoftwareDistribution folder, deinstalled Kaspersky tried booting Win 7 withouth the force driver options enabled... And currently i am looking at this in the update log, The Update itself gives no error it just keeps running without finding anything for hours. Im no expert but there is some kind of a driver error in the log that is repeating upon every attempt of finding updastes.

Also please tell me im not crazy and that used to be a cancel update button somwhere beneath the green line that isnt to be found anymore.

I´ve tried running SURT (for Win 7 x64), downloaded it and started it. It first says "preparing for installation" and creates a folder in c:/ , then when folder gets to 539Mb it says "searching for updates ont his computer" and just gets stuck there doing nothing even if i let it hang for hours.

I try to cancel it, but it wont stop so i have to shut it down using the task manager and manually deleting the C:/ file it created.

p.s.
I also installed Winzip and ran SCFfix.exe again.

Today at work i found the same thing happened on my laptop Win7 x64. There were 64 updates waiting for download (i also left Check but o not download option there).

I clicked downlaod and it also hanged there at 0% but i waited and after 6 hours it suddenly got to 22% downlaodaed, it took an extra half an hour to get to 100% and then 2 hours more to install the updates with 3 Laptop rebooots.

Intresting thing was that windows wouldnt let me see the WindowsUpdate.log while the download hanged there sa it was used by another process. At home i can easily acces the log while Winupdate is running.

I got home realzing i screwd up when i erased "SoftwareDistribution" folder on this comp. I simply should have waited for 8 hours ...
So now i tried booting to an earlier restore point (09.04.2016) but unfortunately Update was unable to reverse to that 70-80 downloads that was originaly forund and i also have to check for updates again.
Its hanging doing nothing for 3 hours now but atleast my log is showing that driver error anymore.

I´ve to download Winzip (my Kaspersky was on pause) and got some OLBPre.exe Ad-ware with it :eek4: that im curently cleaning up with Malwarebytes 25 threats found and Ksapersky found some Bcbccabecicbh.exe in my loal temp folder.... i deleted Winzip after that.

I included my new WinUpdate log in this post.

Since the rollback my uTorrent crashed again and the same thing happened as in the original post.
Ive cleaned up the system and reinstalled uTorrent.

The driver error in WinupdateLog is now back tough.

WinUpdate is showing this now:

I officialy give up trying to solve this on my own :banghead: i get no error notification .... ill wait for your reply.
The last thing ill do is uplad CBS folder with that SFCfixscript.txt method and return my PC to the state before the rollback..

Solved

Today at 7h in the morning i left Windows update working along with SURP with "searching for updates on this computer" message.
When i got home at 13.30h it both were still hanging doing noting. SURP still had that "searching for updates on this computer" message and thank god before i went to sleep :sleep2: i didn´t cancel SURP.

When i woke up at 16h i found that SURP had a message for me with 1 update ready for me. By looking at the log i found that SURP got past "looking for updates on this computer" in 15h meaning it f****** lasted for 8 hours total !
I clicked "Yes" but the install failed in like 1 second.

Weirdly enough my windows shutdown button was now displaying the yellow exclamation mark updates ready for install so i did that. The next message was a shutdown screen displaying "installing 33 out of 72"
I dont know when it installed the first 33 ...? When it rebooted it did the usual 1-100% .... That whole thing lastd until 17h

Then the comp rebooted i saw for the first time in a long time Updates available icon in my taskbar but when i went to Windows update i only found the same old "Windows is up to date" message :thumbsdown2:

I like 5 minutes that changed to "Windows 10 is ready for install" :shame2: I unchecked that update and hidden it and now my Windows update was showing 19 updates ready for install.
I clicked yes and spent another hour looking at the "creating a restore point" message so it was now 18h. When that was done the install went quickly from there .. reboot .. Windows found 1 more update ..ok reboot.. and around 18.30h i was done.

I have a green check mark displaying todays date in WinUpdate now and all seems to be fine.

p.s.
10 hours total.
