Hi,
So initially I noticed a problem when I couldn't install the windows 7 service 1 pack ( as well as many updates ), when I tried the windows update standalone installer gave me the error "The update is not applicable to your computer".
So I checked in my installed updates in control panel only to see that it shows "No updates are installed on this computer". When I go on update history, however, I see all the dozens of updates installed ( and many times the same update will have been downloaded multiple times yet still not showing in control panel.. ).
It also seems as though windows update is blocked, it's asking me to update 11 important updates but every time I install them and restart my computer to complete the installations they're nowhere to be found and windows update asks me again for the same update ( although it also says in a popup that windows 7 has successfully installed updates.. ).
I tried many things such as sfc /scannow in cmd only to get "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair device". I tried replacing my components file in system 32 config with a new one, still nothing better.
Here are my SFCFix results :
"SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.Start time: 2016-12-07 11:48:37.722
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64
Not using a script file.

Successfully processed all directives.
SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro has completed.
Currently storing 2 datablocks.
Finish time: 2016-12-07 11:49:06.667

I've also did the CBS collecting file with SFCFix and the script text thing since my files are too large to upload..
I fear that a complete full restore might be the only option left for me, if anything can be done help would be truly appreciated!
Thanks!
