Hello! I hope you can help me with the problem in the subject.
Another update fails to install (kb3133977) but the kb4034664 was the first to create problems for me.

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named softwaremaniac. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hello and welcome!

Remove Update Manually
1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter
wusa /uninstall /KB:3133977

Hello!

After I had done what you suggested, a popup window appeared saying "The update KB3133977 is not installed on this computer."
All the times I tried to install it (before I asked you for help), it failed to install, according to the "update history" window in windows update (see below).

1. Dual Boot with what operating systems?
2. Does each OS have it's own hard drive or are they installed on different partitions?
3. Which OS is the default in the boot order?

1. I have the following OS:
* Linux Mint 17.2
* Windows 7 Sp 1 x64
* also, there are some memory tests in the boot loader
2. They are installed on different hard drives (totally separate SDDs).
3. There is no default OS. I choose manually which OS to load. The installation of every update happens only after I choose the operating system (the boot drive). (If I wait about a minute, Linux would load, but I never wait that long. So, I guess, Linux is the default one.) The boot loader is grub, if that helps.

Please completely disconnect the SSD for the Linux Mint OS and boot up so only the Windows one is connected. Then attempt the update and provide the CBS.log if it fails.

Everything worked! Thank you very much!!! (I thought about reinstalling Windows, but I guess that would not work.)

I wonder why does not Microsoft address this issue? It's been happening since February/March 2017 at least.
And is it the only way to solve this problem? (I.e. to unplug the drive.)
