Re: [Win7 home premium SP1 x64] No updates installed on this computer

I'm sorry, I missed a quotation mark in a URL code. Here is the correct message: In the update list it reports that "No updates are installed on this computer" (see installedwupd image), even if I regularly install them every time they are available (wupdhistory image). In the images consider that the system language is italian, if necessary I will provide the translations. I followed the instructions you provided on the "forum posting instructions" page, so i ran:
  • SFC scan: CBS.zip
  • SFCFix: (txt attached)
but the problem is still unsolved. Any suggestion? I thank in advance everyone who could help me! PS: I also don't know why there aren't line breaks.

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named softwaremaniac. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

It is ok for me, thank you so much again! I'll wait, at least this issue will be useful for someone...

hello and thank you. I performed a clean boot but nothing changed. Do I need to run sfc /scannow before exporting CBS? If not necessary, here is the CBS.zip

1. Download the script ExportCBSRegistry.cmd and save it to the Desktop
2. Right-click the file ExportCBSRegistry.cmd and select Run as administrator
3. When the script ends a new file called SoftwareCBS.hiv will be located on the Desktop
4. Right-click the file SoftwareCBS.hiv on the Desktop and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder

Note: If zip file is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here

Step#1 - System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
1. Download and run the following file.
2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take 15 minutes or more to run. Please don't cancel.
3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
4. Please attach the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service.

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. You can use the one you already have downloaded.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

I don't know what's going wrong, but as soon as I launch as administrator FRST64.exe, after downloading fixlist.txt in the same folder (the desktop), FRST64.exe keeps saying on top "New update found. Please wait...", then a dialog box appears, saying "Update complete. The tool is ready to use" and without clicking OK the dialog disappears and FRST64.exe goes in a loop saying again "New update found. Please wait...". After 10 iterations, an error box says "C:\Users\xxxxx\Desktop\FRST64.exe is not a valid Win32 application". What's happening?
Obviously, no "fixlog.txt" is generated.

Ok, I don't know if I acted in the right way, but disconnecting my computer from the internet, no update is found and FRST64.exe runs correctly.
Here it is the Fixlog txt file. And, again, thank you.
