What do you think caused this?

Also, why didn't the cbs.txt appear on my desktop. There are two Desktops on my explorer sidebar.

Re: Windows 8 - Corrupt files/unable to fix/CBS files posted

Hi schillist,

There's no way of knowing how this was caused. The main culprits are hardware faults, corrupt downloads or errors during the extraction process. As for your Desktop problem, I'm really not sure and as I don't have Windows 8, I can't test anything. Start a thread in the Windows 8 forum and someone will help you.

Re: Windows 8 - Corrupt files/unable to fix/CBS files posted

View attachment sfcdetails.txtI am having a similar issue with win8 pro /w wmc 64-bit but when i run the scan it says it wasn't able to fix but yet in this attached log of the scan it said repair succesful and dism turns up nothing. i know what have caused my issue which is at the current time i am oc'ing and overdid my ram a little and got some bsod's in before i could go into bios to recover but then if that was it wouldn't it be more likely that it was fixed but the errors left something more the comp doesn't turn up? i am going to run a memory diagnostics test.
