Please download the attached file, WUA_64.zip and save this to your Desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
A window will open showing two folders, Manifests and Packages
Open the Manifests folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests
Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages
Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again
When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:

Hello Tom,
after your kind help the Windows Update is finally working (error 800F0900 is gone) and most of the available updates were successfully installed!
However there are still 6 updates which refuse to be installed - 5 of them are related to .NET Framework, the last one is Windows security update KB2861855, which is returning error 80073712. The other 5 are reported as successfully installed, but they are still hanging on the list of updates to be installed, even after several restarts and new installs.
I'm attaching the latest version of the CBS file. Could you please look at it and advise me what to do?? View attachment CBS2.zip

Now only the 4 updates related to .NET Framework (KB2836939, KB2835393, KB2840628, KB2858302) refuse to be installed. Do you think it would be possible to have also these ones to be installed or shall I simply hide these updates and forget them? FYI I'm attaching the latest version of the CBS folder. thanks for the next fix! After copying the manifest file from Packs.zip, running SURT and restarting the PC I can see in the CheckSUR.log this:
This is exactly the file which you have sent me in the last Packs.zip. Do you have any idea why this file is reported as unavailable?
BTW the 4 updates related to .NET Framework (KB2836939, KB2835393, KB2840628, KB2858302) still refuse to be installed. In fact it seems that they have been installed (Windows update window turns green), but after a few seconds it shows again these 4 updates as available to be downloaded and installed.
