For the life of me I cannot remember if there was a real-time tracing app that can tell me what is causing the behavior. Was it part of Visual Studio or native to Windows? Dr Watson (Actually I can't find drwatson.exe / drwtsn / drwtsn32, has it been removed for something else?) Or was I thinking of plain old WinDbg? I just seem to remember it was more intuitive than WinDbg. I am going to re-install windows anyway (It's been on there for about 5 or 6 years now, just doing in-place upgrades to new versions), so destroying my install is not a problem, I would just prefer to see what is going on. Regards, Craig

Wasn't Dr.Watson discontinued with Windows XP?
