[SOLVED] Trying to update from Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 19045.4291 (X64) to 19045.4717 and I'm having problems

Hi,

Here's the next fix.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards attempt to update again. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

  • Right-click ComponentsScanner.exe and select "Run as administrator", click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Post the logfile ComponentsScanner.txt as attachment into your next reply.

Due to the number of issues I would first check some other things.

Download the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link
  • Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  • Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  • Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Download

  • Then click Finish to launch the application.
  • Select English as prefered language and click Next, accept the license and click Submit.
  • In the screen that appears perform a "quick test" for the SSD.
  • Take a screenshot of this window and post it in your next reply.

This looks good, but I have no experience with Kingfast SSDs?

Please perform a Memory Check as well, this because your COMPONENTS hive became corrupted in post #42 for some reason? Also because the unexpected shutdown and other issues with this system.

Rich (BB code):
Error: (08/18/2024 12:20:29 PM) (Source: EventLog) (EventID: 6008) (User: )
Description: The previous system shutdown at 11:38:35 AM on ‎8/‎18/‎2024 was unexpected.

Please follow the instructions below to run Memtest. (It's recommended to run it for 8 passes (2 runs of 4 passes).
  1. Download Download MemTest86 Free to your desktop and extract this file.
  2. Right click imageUSB.exe and select the option "Run as Administrator".
  3. Select the USB-stick to place a checkmark.
  4. Warning! When you perform the following steps it will overwrite all your data on this USB-stick!
  5. Then click Write to copy the ISO file "memtest86-usb.iso" to the USB-stick.
  6. When you get the message: "You have chosen to write an image to the following USB-drive, click Yes.
  7. Then a final warning will appear, click Yes to create the USB-stick with the Memtest ISO file...
  8. Boot the system from this stick and run MemTest for the first 4 passes.
  9. If no errors have been found after the four passes of the 13 different tests that the free version does, then restart Memtest86 and do another four passes.

I mean in instruction number 3; what do you mean by select USB-stick to place check mark?

which one is it? I'm kinda lost😟

Yes, you'll need to write the MemTest ISO to an USB-stick, so you can boot the system from this stick to run MemTest.
