The ISO of MemTest is only 12MB, so you can use older 256MB > 1GB USB-sticks as well. There's no need to buy an USB-stick with larger storage capacity! However, older USB sticks may be slower, which mey result in MemTest taking longer to complete!
No, it seems you have copied "imageusb.exe" to the USB-stick, you'll need to create an (bootable) USB-stick with imageusb.exe first using the following instructions.
Right click imageUSB.exe and select the option "Run as Administrator".
Select the USB-stick.
Warning! When you perform the following steps it will overwrite all your data on this USB-stick!
Then click Write to copy the ISO file "memtest86-usb.iso" to the USB-stick.
When you get the message: "You have chosen to write an image to the following USB-drive, click Yes.
Then a final warning will appear, click Yes to create the USB-stick with the Memtest ISO file...
Boot the system from this stick and run MemTest for the first 4 passes.
If no errors have been found after the four passes of the 13 different tests that the free version does, then restart Memtest86 and do another four passes.
Hello sorry for an extremelY late reply. Haven't had access to my laptop for a while.
So, i kinda wasn't able to do this last test though the good news is that it has started updating.
Please check the attached to see if it's back to normal.
Thanks.
