[SOLVED] Server 2022: Updates failing with 0x800f081f

Hi Maxstar,

Ran the SFCFix.zip and then the DISM restore health. Unfortunately that failed, see attachement. I have attached the CBS log, also the SFCFix logfile, not sure if that is of any use to you.

Cheers,
Ray

Here's the next fix.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi Maxstar,

I gave the new fix a try. It ran normal, the DISM command ran normally as well, no error this time, but the August Cumulative update is still failing. I did try a couple of restarts of the server and repeating the fix, just in case, unfortunately with the same result everytime. I have enclosed the new CBS log.

Cheers,
Ray

Good morning, Maxstar.

This new fix seems to have solved the problem. I did do a couple of restarts and ran the fix twice and suddenly the update was installing as normal. I restarted the Server and it booted normally. All updates have now been installed.
I have attached the SFCFix log file as reference for you.

Thank you again for your assistance. I really do hope this is the last time on this Server.

Cheers,
Ray
