This is incredibly sad news.

I've known John for the last 12 years, and am incredibly grateful for all the support, advice and encouragement he's given me over that time.

When I first joined Sysnative as a young (and somewhat naive!) 14 year old, it was John's support and trust that allowed me to join the moderator, and then the admin team. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. I have learnt so much and worked with some amazing people at Sysnative, who I may never have met if it wasn't for John. I'll miss our Skype calls and chats (even if he did have the ability to write the longest PM's I've ever known!).

John, you'll be sorely missed. It won't be the same here without you.

It is of great sadness to hear of his passing, my sincere condolences to his family and friends, and all whose who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all. I'm forever grateful for the trust he had in me and the guidance he provided when I first joined this forum.

Rest in peace, John.

I am genuinely very sorry to hear of this. John had an amazing way of recognising, nurturing and trusting upcoming talent who others may not. He was always a great advisor to me over the time that I knew him and the help that he gave me along the way played a large part in building me into the person that I am today and in developing the career that I have now. I wouldn't be where I am without this website that John founded and everything I learned from everyone on here. I will remember John. He was a great person.

I, too, am very sorry to hear this sad news. He will be missed. As others have said, he has passed on something to each one of us who have known him. I agree fully with Richard that he recognised abilities in people and encouraged them to achieve far more as a result. My condolences to all his family.

I am very late to this messaging, but that's still sad to hear for me today. John was a big supporter of myself and the primary reason I was accepted into the MVP program initially. He too even took the time to call me every once in a while. The reason I logged in today was a few weeks ago I tried to give him a call, but it went to voicemail. I was logging today to say hi again. He will be greatly missed. I'm sorry for his family's loss. :(

This saddens me greatly. He had told me a few years ago that the docs had found something that alleviated an issue he had, but wouldn't prescribe it because it is an opioid :(

When I would joke that I don't contribute here, he always thanked me for birthday greetings and congrats and such...he said it always gratified him to see me posting...such a nice thing to say

Hopefully he's cruising in his Cadillac somewhere

RIP John

Bill
I was going through some old PM's I had with John and he really did love that Cadillac...
