I have been banned from VF, SF & EF - no reason whatsoever given.

My BSOD OP stickies have been removed.

To all those from VF, SF & EF that are here - please know that you are always welcome here at Sysnative Forums.

BSOD App development in conjunction with Mike (writhziden) will continue here at Sysnative.

I hope that John Fairbrother (z3r010) and Shawn Brink, fellow Microsoft MVP (assuming he is involved in the bans; not sure), realize someday that the decision to alienate so many for no reason is petty, childish, absurd and asinine.

I have NEVER been banned from a forum before in my life. This is a first for me.

John

EDIT: Please see post #141 for the 'ban list"

Not stating a reason for bans is quite sad and childish assuming you've never been contacted about it prior to these bans. That is absolutely no way to conduct business in terms of moderation / handling a forum.

I agree. I have also been banned for the same non-reason of "Account Closed" without any warning or prior discussion. What sort of management would do that? There is absolutely nothing professional about it whatsoever.

Hi all,

I'm still on SF so I thought I would tell you what John said:

z3r010 said:
After sleeping on it I've decided the best way forward is just to cut all ties with sysnative and move on and as such I've closed all the account of their senior staff.

Hope that sheds some light on the matter. All discussion came from this thread: please read and note that it is still developing - http://www.sevenforums.com/vip/238838-where-seavixen.html

EDIT - Noticed that the thread is only available for SF members so you can't read it. It pretty much talks about SF and Sysnative's rivalry.

Thanks for the update.

However, I really don't understand it. If he hadn't wanted us to be there, he could have just asked us to leave. Instead, it seems that z3r010 must go down the vindictive and petty route of banning us without reason, seemingly simply to satisfy his own desires for revenge. Does he have no self restraint?

Seems it is still hitting the fan. Latest "victim"? is Laxer.

Thank you for the update. Well, we all now know that Laxer did nothing wrong and was still hit by this. If this carries on, Seven Forums truly is going to be a collapsing relic of what it once was!

Seems you are correct...

Wonder if they are actually checking this thread...

I find it very likely...

Perhaps we should join the playpen and move this to a private forum... :banghead:
Ban reason: As requested :hysterical:

Absolutely should be moved private. I am sure at least two are watching atm

Pseudonyms are a killer, oh what they would do for IP access here...

That is the funny thing! Our app is immensely useful for BSOD work, and almost all use it, even if they don't admit it, even if they slag us off.

They use it alright. And is z3r010 going to ban them all? There wouldn't be many helpers left if he did that.

No way in hell will this thread go private.

We have nothing to hide & do things out in the open, unlike z3r010 who is obviously insecure when it comes to public disclosure and discussion.

Same thought... My last comment was sarcastic...

Can't express my voice tones with just text :shame2:

Wow, never in the 19 years of my life have I seen such an abuse of power. Normally I would never mention or discuss this publicly. I feel sick, it's incredibly disrespectful and disgusting. I'm usually the quiet guy that doesn't like to get caught up in anything and just helps people with their BSOD's, but this... this is ABSURD.

Since I am more than usually that quiet guy in the back that doesn't really get involved into anything, I had up until a few moments ago had no idea what was going on. I checked the thread that was linked and began reading to finally know what's going on, just for myself. Thankfully, I had enough time to get the general idea of the drama and bannings. As I'm reading through the pages, I'm greeted with the following:

You have been banned for the following reason:
Account closed
Date the ban will be lifted: Never

Mind you I have never in my time at Seven Forums broken a SINGLE rule. I have zero warnings, infractions, I've never even been PM'd or contacted by a member of their staff team in my time there. Like I said, I was the quiet guy that just analyzed and solved BSOD's. I began my BSOD analysis there months ago and chose to take a break as I was promoted to Forum Moderator at Overclock.net, one of the largest general tech forums to date. I logged on that site everyday for weeks helping people solve their BSOD cases.

I have never "advertised", and I was never asked to come to Sysnative on Seven Forums. I haven't been "active" on that forum in weeks.

Essentially, I was banned because I'm a member here at Sysnative and spoke about Seven Forums being unprofessional in their methods of dealing with this... ON SYSNATIVE. I haven't posted on Seven Forums in weeks. Also, again, I was not notified why I was banned in the reason field.

Like I said, I'm a Forum Moderator on Overclock.net, a very well known tech forum with well over 200,000 members. I worked very hard to achieve my position of power there. If one of the staff on our team banned a user for speaking about a forum in the way I did (again, I said nothing to warrant an account closure)... OFF-SITE, I would go directly to a manager. That is just unreal, absolutely unreal.

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely disgusting, unprofessional and completely and ridiculously blown way out of proportion. I will never in my life and my time as a BSOD analyst, EVER, link to Seven Forums, or any website under z3r010's rule again.

I don't know the full "behind the scenes" details, but banning people who have done nothing wrong but display their concern and opinion off site is an incredible and shameful abuse of power. I was essentially banned because I am a member of Sysnative.

My free time currently in my life is at its prime. I currently have no job, do not attend school, etc. With this time, I hang around on forums such as Sysnative and Tech Support Forum all day helping people solve their BSOD's. I have wronged no one, all I have done is shared my knowledge from which I gained from most of you here at Sysnative, and solve problems.

And this is how I am treated... it really upsets me. As I said, my goal and dream is to one day achieve and become a Microsoft MvP. When things like this happen, it only sets me back as it really hurts me.

I cannot believe this.
