Wow, never in the 19 years of my life have I seen such an abuse of power. Normally I would never mention or discuss this publicly. I feel sick, it's incredibly disrespectful and disgusting. I'm usually the quiet guy that doesn't like to get caught up in anything and just helps people with their BSOD's, but this... this is
ABSURD.
Since I am more than usually that quiet guy in the back that doesn't really get involved into anything, I had up until a few moments ago had no idea what was going on. I checked the thread that was linked and began reading to finally know what's going on, just for myself. Thankfully, I had enough time to get the general idea of the drama and bannings. As I'm reading through the pages, I'm greeted with the following:
You have been banned for the following reason:
Account closed
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
Mind you I have never in my time at Seven Forums broken a
SINGLE rule. I have zero warnings, infractions, I've never even been PM'd or contacted by a member of their staff team in my time there. Like I said, I was the quiet guy that just analyzed and solved BSOD's. I began my BSOD analysis there months ago and chose to take a break as I was promoted to Forum Moderator at Overclock.net, one of the largest general tech forums to date. I logged on that site everyday for weeks helping people solve their BSOD cases.
I have never "advertised", and I was never asked to come to Sysnative on Seven Forums. I haven't been "active" on that forum in weeks.
Essentially, I was banned because I'm a member here at Sysnative and spoke about Seven Forums being unprofessional in their methods of dealing with this... ON SYSNATIVE. I haven't posted on Seven Forums in
weeks. Also, again, I was not notified why I was banned in the reason field.
Like I said, I'm a Forum Moderator on Overclock.net, a very well known tech forum with well over 200,000 members. I worked very hard to achieve my position of power there. If one of the staff on our team banned a user for speaking about a forum in the way I did (again, I said nothing to warrant an account closure)... OFF-SITE, I would go directly to a manager. That is just unreal, absolutely unreal.
I'm sorry, but this is absolutely disgusting, unprofessional and completely and ridiculously blown way out of proportion. I will never in my life and my time as a BSOD analyst,
EVER, link to Seven Forums, or any website under z3r010's rule again.
I don't know the full "behind the scenes" details, but banning people who have done nothing wrong but display their concern and opinion off site is an incredible and shameful abuse of power. I was essentially banned because I am a member of Sysnative.
My free time currently in my life is at its prime. I currently have no job, do not attend school, etc. With this time, I hang around on forums such as Sysnative and Tech Support Forum all day helping people solve their BSOD's. I have wronged no one, all I have done is shared my knowledge from which I gained from most of you here at Sysnative, and solve problems.
And this is how I am treated... it really upsets me. As I said, my goal and dream is to one day achieve and become a Microsoft MvP. When things like this happen, it only sets me back as it really hurts me.
I cannot believe this.
