[SOLVED] 0x80070002 updating windows10 version. SFCFix crashes

I do not know where you got these files from, but they are incorrect and shouldn't have been there as they have the build number belonging to Windows 8.1. I would therefore recommend a clean install as I cannot reliably say what damage had already been done.

Oh, ok.
And is there not any way of deleting them from the list or mark them as ignored?

Maybe if I can find the installer used I could restore them. Or it would be worse?

We may be able to clear the list, but that may cause something else to stop working.

I would just like to know what the installer was, I would not restore them. They seem to be from a different OS version...

If you want, we can try and forcefully remove those, but I am not sure whether that will help us...

OK, thank you, I prefer to try to remove them as I wont need media center anymore.

It was downloaded from a web (I don't remember which), installed only for a test which didn't work, and so it was uninstalled.

OK.

Step#1 - Export CBS hive
  • Click on the Start button and in the search box, type regedit
  • When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing
  • Once selected, click File > Export....
  • Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (.).
  • Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the saved file and choose Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  • Attach the .ZIP file to your next post.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload to Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and just provide the link here.

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

I executed it again and it still fails at 82.6%.

I've Attached the CBS.log compressed.

Oh OK, thank you.

It there a way to doy it from windows itself or it is needed some CD?
I only have the windows7 from which I installed it originally.

Hi,
I forgot to tell you I finally achieved it.
I tried to edit the registry but instead of deleting the damaged records under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\PackageIndex
I deleted the ones in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages

I restarted the PC and tried to update again and now I have the 1903 version running correctly.

Thank you very much for all your help.
