You could try that, I think there are more problems since you have a lot of issues with Windows Update.

In this situation, I recommend the following:
1. Check the health of the HDD/SSD with the tool below.
2. Perform a RAM check with MemTest86

Download
520c07ffc7e11-CrystalDiskInfo-Canned.png
Crystal DiskInfo and save it to your Desktop.
  • Run the installer to install the program.
  • When finished, open the installed program by double clicking on it.
    • Good - There are no problems found, the drive is working properly.
    • Caution - The drive have some problems. (which indicates a drive that you should most likely be thinking about backing up and replacing.)
    • Bad - This usually indicates a drive that’s dead or near death. (! - Back up all important data as soon as possible.)
  • Resize the window so that all information is visible.
  • Take a screenshot of what you see and post it in your next reply.

The drive with the driveletter - D: and E: doesn't look good, what kind of disk is that?

D is a Data Drive and with a additinal Partition E.

D is a normal HDD,
System on C is on a SSD,
G-Drive (whre all my games ar) is allso an SSD...

Hi Maxstar,

First Run of MemTest passed without any Error.
I will run tomorrow once again.

But I think there is no HW Issue, Its somehow soming Software, Permissing or Registry..
But big question is: Wahts wrong?????

Kindest Regards and have a nice weekend,
David

Hi,

Since you have a lot of issues with Windows Update last months, it is good to rule out any hardware issues. In this case my advise would be to perform an in-place-upgrade.

Windows 10 Repair Install
This will reinstall and update the operating system and fix any corruptions, without removing any file or program. But make always a backup of all your important data!
  • Go to this Microsoft page and under the title Create Windows 10 installation media press on Download tool now.
  • Save the tool on your Desktop and double click to run it.
  • On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
  • On the What do you want to do page, select Create installation media (USB....) and then select Next.
  • Choose the ISO file option. Once the download is complete, right click the ISO and select the option Mount.
  • Open the Windows File Explorer and open mounted ISO, and run the setup.exe file.
  • Follow the instructions and click on the option Change what to keep.
  • Select the option Keep personal files and apps and click next.
  • Windows Setup will now start the in-place upgrade installation to repair Windows.

Hi Maxstar,

Many Thanks for your time and reply.
I did now a Windows 10 Repair Install like you advised above.

So far (quick and dirty) all ok now.
Patches are installed, I can open STEAM and GeForceExirience, etc....

So far, so good.

Once again , many, many thanks for your Time and work!
Have a great day!
Regards!
