CONGRATULATIONS!!! You did it. Following the re-boot, I checked for additional updates and there were none. Is there any post success cleanup? Can you tell me in lay terms what went wrong? Andy
You can delete the tools we used manually or you can delete only SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip and rename FRST64.exe to uninstall.exe and run it in order to remove it and all the related FRST files and folders from your computer automatically.
Basically, with each new update certain components of the system get updated, your system was missing elements that were getting updated with this update and the system errored out, so I used ProcMon to determine what exactly was missing and provided the missing parts.
Thank you. Any idea how those parts went missing? I use CCleaner from time to time and Windows Disk Cleanup and I do not go messing with system files. I just want to be aware of what may have caused it.
