Try Windows updates again.

Great news! All but 2 of the updates worked (22 of them worked). The only 2 that didn't run are Internet Explorer updates. Code 2 and Code 9C59. Thanks a million for fixing the other 22-- any idea about the IE ones?

Ah good we are making progress :). That error is not much help, lest see if we can get a better one.

Windows Update Log

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following commands
    cmd /c copy %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\WindowsUpdate.txt"
  3. Please go to your desktop and attach WindowsUpdate.txt to your next post

The error's that were given inside that log where not much help either.

Code:
12:08:04:789 984	86c	AU # WARNING: Install failed, error = [COLOR="#FF0000"]0x80070643[/COLOR] / 0x00000002

0x80070643 = ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE

First lets try and clear out the download cache.

Software Distribution rename

Hi,
Sorry I was out of town for 2 weeks but I'm back now. I still can't get the Windows Internet Explorer Updates to run. Same error codes as before. I posted the CBS at the dropbox link below. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Sorry, I thought I posted this the other day but it was still stuck as a draft.

The Software Distribution rename did not get the last 2 updates to run.
I ran the SURT and it did not find any integrity violations.
The CBS zip is here:

Sorry for the delay.

What are the two updates that still need to be installed? Can you manually try to download and install the files manually?

The two updates were Internet Explore 9 and 10. I just manually downloaded 11 and the install went through, so hopefully I'm good to go! Thanks again for all of your help!!
