7 updates consistently failing to install win 7 64bit

Apologies for the delay.
FRST fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.
Download the attached fixlist.txt to your desktop.
Ensure fixlist.txt is in the same location as FRST64.exe on your desktop.
Run FRST by right clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator and press Fix
On completion a log (fixlog.txt) will be generated.
Please select all text in this fix, copy (CTRL + C) and then Paste (CTRL + V) in your next reply.

Please try to install the update again.
Go to Windows Update and select check for updates.
If the update KB3110329 shows up as needed then try to install it. Do not install any other updates.
If it fails please attach the CBS log and setupapi.dev.log

Well that was a nightmare. Any chance you could give me a brief explanation of what was causing it to be so hard to get one update to install and whether whatever the issue was is likely recur with any of the remaining 36 important updates left waiting to install?

That's great news! Go ahead and attempt the install of the other remaining updates and report back if successful or not.
The issue was with the driver wdmaudio.inf. It would seem somehow your windows registry and the version files required were out of sync. Basically we ran scripts to strip back the registry and the files so the wdmaudio.inf version recognised as the default matched. Once this was done and the required version of the wdmaudio.inf that the update needed was added the update could then install. Hopefully the rest of the updates should go through.
Kudos to Brian, my instructor for this one! Certainly been a massive learning curve for me.
I would just like to add many thanks for perservering and sticking with the topic as I appreciate it has been over a period of time.
