[SOLVED] [7SP1Home Premiumx64] Update KB4088875 fails with error code 80073701

Hi,

Please confirm that you run the FRST Search immediately after the dism... command?

Yes. I followed your instructions exactly.
Ran dism command
Closed all windows
Ran FRST64

Ok. Can you try the following to confirm the result please.

1. Click your Start button and choose Control Panel.
2. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category.
3. Select the Programs group.
4. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Wait until this dialog populates with information.
Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you repeat the Search using FRST like you did before.

After the Search you can close the Windows Features window.

Hi,

Lets remove the update...

Fixlog Fixlog.txt - Google Drive

I have not yet re-started the computer.

I won't attempt to re-run Fixlist unless instructed

Even better news, I have now run Update KB4088875 and it has successfully installed.

Many, many thanks for your patience and diligence. Feel free to mark this problem as solved.
