Please zip the files CbsPersist_<datetime>.cab in the folder C:\Windows\Logs\CBS and attach it to your next reply.
Note: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Filedropper or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the download link.

Please attach the logfile Fixlog.txt which was created in step 1 in message #40.

For some reason SFC reports corruptions when there are none.
Windows Update is working fine so I think we can close this case.

Peter, I agree. I managed to get SFC to pass by using tweeking.com windows repair 2018 tool to reset registry, file and service permissions and repairing reparse points.

Unfortunately a few days later I got some errors. Sadly I think the hard is failing and is the cause. I hate to trouble you again, but I ran SFCfix and it came up with a list of corruptions.

Could you possibly send me a SFCFix.zip file so I can correct them, and then back-up the whole drive?

Please note that running tools claiming to fix, speedup or boost your machine can cause more harm than good.

Start the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again.
On completion, attach the logfile C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log in your next reply.
