EDIT:

by re-install.. you mean to install and then uninstall it?
or just keep it installed? :)

omg, i can't uninstall microsoft .net framework 4 multi-targeting pack..
i get the following error whenever i try:

and when i click "ok" i get:

q: why i tried to uninstall it?
a: i tried repairing microsoft visual c++ 2010 express, and it told me everything has been downloaded and reinstalled fine except for .Net framework 4 multi-targeting pack. thus, i thought about repairing it by reinstalling.. but got those errors.

Thanks again for your help. :)

Hi and thank you for the information. Please try the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please
  9. Reboot your machine
  10. Try the repair again.

Hello there,
Sadly, before this message was posted..
I ran a tool from Microsoft for repairing .net framework issuses..
but it didn't work.. (I still get the same problem when I try to uninstall the .net framework 4 multi-targeting pack..)
and the repair tool for .net framework from Microsoft generated these logs packed in a .cab file, link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/634swxcple5bxs2/FixDotNet20150627145930287.cab?dl=0

I wanted to post about this first before applying your suggested fix, just to check whether it is fine to run it in my current pc status or I should wait for another fix xD

sorry about the late respond, as I had and still have network issuses just after the last time I posted.. (it might be solved tomorrow)
my upload speed was 10kb/s using an alternative connection method not to mention that it kept disconnecting alot xD

thanks alot for your help and patience.

Hello there,
i am so sorry for being this late, i have just solved my connection issues xD

while being offline, i did try your fix but it didn't work and also somestuff like re-installing of visual studio 2010 express and visual studio service pack 1 using their .iso which i have downloaded before..
but both failed..
uninstalled visual c++ 2010 express successfuly and tried to reinstall the visual basic 2010 express but failed(couldn't even uninstall it inorder to reinstall)
thought of uninstalling ALL the .net framework using this tool:
MSDN Blogs
but the .net framwork 4 multi-targeting pack still didn't uninstall.. (get the same error)

is there anything i can do to get visual studio 2010 express fully installed with all its vb.net c# c++.. etc?
how to remove the current visual basic 2010 express and the annoying .net framework 4 multi-targeting pack?
all sort of repairs using the standered built in repair button in the installers failed to work. :/

i am so sorry again about my failed attemps.. i was just hopeless and still am :/
i am sure that i made the situation far worse.. is there any logs you want from me to update?

the SFCFIX log is attached in this post

i don't use premium and don't recall having used professional.. but i am sure about the express :)

hello there, i have both abad and good news(i hope)
the bad ones is..
none of the three sites helped me..
even the fixit tool was crashing in the startup saying that it wasn't responding and then gives me only two options(debug or close).

the good news(i think that they aren't good actually)
i managed to use the last windows restore backup available, and it was before uninstalling the .net frameworks
the bad news..
now even after uninstalling visual c++ 2010 express, i can't even run visualbasic 2010 express anymore! (unlike before)
not to mention that my firefox gives me errors and doesn't want to run..

the error i get when i try to run visual basic 2010 express is:

the errors i get when i try to run firefox:

i am pretty sure that .net framework 4 is corrupted now :/
is there a way to fix it?
