A subdirectory or file already exists

I also receive an error with the apps with 2.1.3.6 when downloading from Sysnative: 0x-2146697210

I do get a dump.txt file in the directory the apps run from, though.
Just going to pop in for a second.

Whilst downloading with Sysnative with 2.1.3.6, I get the same error you do Mike - 0x-2146697210. Checking the download directory, I have a dump.txt. Just thought I'd let you know it's not just you two!

EDIT - Hmmmmm... Just run the new GUI and Console versions (2.1.9.3) and they run with no issues... Connecting to the Sysnative DRT. A dump.txt is being downloaded to the correct folder (outputDmps\2012_Oct_08_21_18\SysnativeBSODApps\download)

Found out why this happens: There is no ms-dump.txt on Sysnative.com; can that be remedied so we can test the 2.1.3.6 version further?

We don't necessarily need sysnative.com to create ms-dump.txt, just a copy of ms-dump.txt from carrona.org placed into the appropriate place on sysnative.com would be sufficient.

@John: Along these same lines, do you happen to have ms-dump.txt being created within the directory where SysnativeBSODApps.exe resides?

It appears that you are downloading dump.txt just fine, but the download of ms-dump.txt is not completing and resulting in your error with the carrona.org DRT download... Confirm?

1. NO

2. IDK... carrona dump.txt d/l to executable dir.

My last run a few min ago before this post:

So you're saying it was something that changed between 2.1.3.2 and 2.1.3.4? Or are you now having success with 2.1.3.4 as well?

Mike, I would have to go back & test each; I've tested so many different versions lately.

I don't know which uses carrona; which uses sysnative.

Sorry, dude, I am sneezing my head off right now + 101F fever. :frown6:

Oooo, that's no good. Don't worry about it for now. Get some rest and feel better.

When you are ready for testing again: 2.1.3.6 is the only version that tests the Sysnative DRT. All others use Carrona's DRT.

Hi guys,

Thought I'd bring this topic up again, since I just got the same error downloading the DRT (0x-2146697210) with SysnativeBSODApps v2.5.6.5.

However, I can reveal more than that...

There is a dump.txt file in the download directory after running the apps, not sure where it has come from. I also was running ProcMon throughout the run to see if I could find anything, and did find something. This is interesting:
Code:
03:20:39.2745416 PM SearchProtocolHost.exe CreateFile C:\Users\Stephen\SysnativeBSODApps\download\dump.txt [COLOR=#0000ff][B]CANNOT BREAK OPLOCK[/B] [/COLOR] Desired Access: Generic Read, Disposition: Open, Options: Open Reparse Point, Open Requiring Oplock, Attributes: N, ShareMode: Read, Write, Delete, AllocationSize: n/a

I have also uploaded the whole ProcMon report from the run and a screenshot from the apps to my SkyDrive (Logfile.7z). Not sure if they will be any use.

There may also be a dump.txt file in the outputDmps/tmp directory (or whatever you name outputDmps to). See if that file exists. It may also be in %TEMP%\SysnativeBSODApps\ as dump.txt there.

What option did you choose with the popup asking whether you wanted to copy the file anyway?

outputDmps\temp - Nothing

%TEMP%\SysnativeBSODApps\ - No dump.txt file.

RE: Popup - First time, cancel and tried again. Second time - no (I think)

Yeah, if it did not download at all, it will not exist in either location. The dump.txt file date modified date will tell you whether it was copied to %userprofile%\SysnativeBSODApps\download; it most likely was created from the dump.txt.bak file that is created each time dump.txt succeeds during download.

Ok that makes sense. Can't check modified date now, just shut down.

Is the ProcMon report I gave any help with this ongoing issue?

Not sure. I can tell you that the following is not related to the DRT error.

Code:
03:20:39.2745416 PM SearchProtocolHost.exe CreateFile C:\Users\Stephen\SysnativeBSODApps\download\dump.txt [COLOR=#0000ff][B]CANNOT BREAK OPLOCK[/B] [/COLOR] Desired Access: Generic Read, Disposition: Open, Options: Open Reparse Point, Open Requiring Oplock, Attributes: N, ShareMode: Read, Write, Delete, AllocationSize: n/a

That error occurred after the DRT issue and is probably related to the .bak to .txt copying step. Not sure what it means; I'll have to see if I get the same on my own system when I do not get the DRT download to work.

If you are still receiving the DRT error, there is probably something wrong with the network settings on your system or the internet/download cache. I have not been having any problems downloading the dump.txt file this morning, so it does not appear to be a problem on the server where carrona.org lies. Can you download the dump.txt file directly? I'll send you a PM with a link to where it exists.
