[SOLVED] Another Windows 7 update loop problem

Thank you for the quick detailed response.
I followed the steps and deleted the key. However I still get the same message when trying to update.
The key itself is non existent.
I've restarted and re-ran the script. Same error.
See attached image which might help.

HI,
Thank you for picking this backup.
I ran it and it came with an error. I ran it again in safe mode but the same error.

Remove Registry Value

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type regedit
  2. When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  3. In the left hand panel of regedit, you will see a list of registry keys. Navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update

  4. Next, right click on the OSUpgradePendingReboot value and choose Delete.

Let me know if this produces an error message.

Thank you.
That seems to have fixed it.
At first it didn't but a couple of reboots later and Windows 7 is now pulling new updates.
Much appreciated.

Awesome! Glad to help :thumbsup2:

I'll mark the thread solved. If you encounter problems, please post back and I'll continue to assist you.
