BSOD while scanning with Panda Cloud Cleaner - Windows 7 x64

where can i find it? :/

more info:
i tried the portable version of Inkscape and it is working fine! :D
thus, i am trying to reinstall it.

Well.. just a little faster :)
but not like what it used to be long time ago ^ xD

is there anything else to do?

How long have you had the same OS install for, has it been a year + ? If so, slow startup over a long period of time is relatively normal, especially if there's a lot of software installed on the hard disk. I usually do a clean install of Windows every year.

Patrick

Well, i have never reinstalled my OS or even changed it.. that might be the cause!
Thanks :D

if i were to reinstall my Windows 7 home premium later (when i get my dad's permission to remove his backups from C (which will take long, like over a month or so))
is 64bit better for me or 32bit?
just asking ^

It depends entirely on a few cases.

1 - Do you have a license for x86 (32-bit) or x64? If both, either works.

2 - Does your processor support x64? If so, good.

3 - Do you have enough RAM to benefit the transition from x86 to x64? If 4 GB or more, then you're fine and it is indeed worth it assuming the former two criteria are met.

Regards,

Patrick

1- Currently i only have for x64, but if it will make my laptop better, then yea sure i will get it :D
2- not sure about it, how would i know?
3- i have 6GB ram

I just re-read OP (should have done that to begin with), and you stated you have x64 (64-bit). With that said, all you'd need to do is reinstall Windows with the disc that came with the laptop.

Patrick

I end up doing that sometimes, you look at a thread and start talking about options only to realise that they mentioned it in the OP. :lolg:

hey guys,
i faced another BSOD but i don't remember when/how it happened, as i was having internet connections issues.

Can you upload the dump file?

em018_64.65240.dat seems to be the cause but I can find nothing at all, there isn't a single link on google so it looks like we'll have to find this outselves.

Depending on your settings it will be in either C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp (this is preferable as it contains more information), you will need to copy it to the desktop and compress it in a .zip folder.
Upload it to a file sharing site like Onedrive.

or in C:\Windows\minidump copy the dump file to the desktop, compress it and upload it here directly.

can't find any. :/
C:\Windows\minidump
is empty and can't find "MEMORY.dmp" file in the "Windows" folder. :/
where are these settings?

The settings are:

Go to Start
Right click on my computer and select properties
Go to Advanced System Settings
Select Advanced
Then settings under startup and recovery
Select Kernel memory dump

Restart then wait until you crash.

they are already:
Untitled.png

but can't seem to find it in the "Windows" folder, does TFC (Temp File Cleaner By OldTimer) removes them? xD
if so, then i accidentally ran it while i was having the connections issues :/

does TFC (Temp File Cleaner By OldTimer) removes them?

Most likely, yes. Most file cleaners remove crash dumps as they can require a lot of hard disk space if they're kernel dumps.

need help uninstalling "Google Chrome" immediately!
i tried uninstalling it in Safe Mode by clicking uninstall in "Programs and Features" list and waited 2 hours, but nothing poped-up
tried uninstalling it without safe mode and still, somehow.. it shows as if it is the first program installed in my system(but that is not true)
Untitled.png

Although i tried uninstalling another program(eg. Java) uninstaller worked just fine.

is my Google Chrome infected/corrupted somehow?
if so, how can i remove it completely?

--------------------------------
when did all these stuff happen and how it may be related to BSOD?
i ran a Major Geek update checker
and it told me that my Nvidia driver needs to be updated, thus i downloaded the "Automatic Driver Updater" from Nvidia:
Drivers | GeForce
and it installed normally
p.s: while installing i was watching a movie with VLC.
anyway, when it finished.. i got a BSOD with no dump file :/

BSOD.jpg

and i thought that it was somehow a problem related with the updater.
thus, i thought re-installing it would solve the problem but,
didn't manage to..(i kept getting BSOD(SAME ONE) every 2 minutes)
thus, i thought uninstalling it via Safe Mode would solve the problem,
and it did manage to uninstall it..
anyway, after uninstalling it.. i thought about uninstalling some other stuff.. old ones like the games which came with my Asus laptop (trial ones) and such
after uninstalling them successfully, i thought about uninstalling Google Chrome.. thus, i clicked on the uninstall button and waited 2 hours
but nothing came up(the uninstaller window) thus, i rebooted normally into windows..
and here something wired happened.
my windows theme returned to the default one(the one which has the ASUS wallpaper)..
and didn't manage to uninstall google chrome aswell :/

btw, about the google chrome being at the bottom.. it was the same while i was in Safe Mode and after booting in the default mode

The good news is, i am not getting the same BSOD anymore :D
