Hi, the C:\$WINDOWS.~BT folder still exist.

Check if c:\windows\Logs\SetupDiag\SetupDiagResults.xml is available (and post it here).

Let's remove the C:\$WINDOWS.~BT folder first with FRST.

Download the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

• Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
• Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
• Press the Fix button.

• When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
• Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Then I would try to rebuild the EFI partition again in the Recovery Environment as described in this post.

Hi, at first after trying what was said in the post, it still failed so I decided to delete the previous partition that has the EFI partition and after trying again it now works. However, there are still some errors that are in the log in the in-place upgrade, should I be concerned?
