  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

No worries. I understand, and I appreciate your volunteering your time and efforts to help. FRST seemed to work as expected. I ran the DISM steps but didn't complete, as show in the picture
1628267533049.png

Here's the DISM log if that helps any. The command copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt" also failed and told me the 'system cannot find the path selected' so I got the CBS.log file manually and changed the extension to .txt - which is here CBS.txt

Also, do you have any language packs installed?

It taking a log time to run this one and it continually searches for a file. I think the first run failed because it didn't go as the last times. Here's the fix log but I'll try it again to se if it runs better this time. Also only English, not other packs installed

Ran it a second time: Still took a while and the result seems to be the same.

Is it showing that the program wanted to repair a file, but couldn't since the file wasn't there?

Hi

The script is checking to find a folder in the winsxs directory but it is not present which corresponds with what is appearing in the CBS log but I was wanting to check this.

Will have the next fix for you shortly.

Thanks
