[SOLVED] Code 80070BC9 Win 2012 Server Essentials

So when I try to manually install the servicing stack update for June or July or August from the catalog which says they apply to Windows Server 2012 x64 they all say this update does not apply to your computer. When I try to manually install the June Security update it says Installing ----Windows Update could not install this update on your computer.

I read somewhere that this behavior can happen if the dotNet framework is corrupted, but the dotNet Repair Tool from MS says it has repaired dot Net and nothing really changes

So when I tried to download the June security quality rollup it said it was replaced by the July rollup which said it was replaced by the August secuirty quality rollup (KB4571736) and so I donwloaded that msu and tried to install - it said searching for installed updates, installing ..., but then after 10 seconds said this update is not applicable to your computer. I attached the cbs log -

If I open windows update from the control panel to try to get just security updates it says no updates installed and windows update has never run. So that is why I had to use the Microsoft Update catalog to manually download. This is a windows 2012 server essentials (not R2) - so it falls in with the windows 8 updates sections and you have to look carefully to see that the update applies to windows server 2012 on those pages - which I did

It also said I should have installed the latest servicing stack update before installing this - but I have not been able to install the SSU either. When I tried to install this as you asked - I only tried to install this update nothing else, and then sent the CBS log

The SSU's 2020-06 and

So far as I know - if we had a power loss it was very brief and this machine is on its on sinewave ups by itself. The Asus motherboard is pretty sensitive to surges and would have shut the system down had it detected anything significant, but I don't recall having to restart the server - at least not in the past few days anyway. The boot drive is a Samsung nvme 970 EVOPlus - so I am attaching its SMART log fro the Samsung disk magician utility.
