Cold + Snowy in New Jersey

Very true indeed!!

So far over the last few hours, precipitation has been fairly heavy snow -- 5" and still coming down.

I think I'll stick to driving in England, thank you.
It's always nice when people don't use their indicators when coming off roundabouts, or cutting you up by changing lanes halfway round...

You've not tried to drive around LA, have you...

I used to drive from Newport Beach to Palm Springs & back on a regular basis and don't miss the ultra-gridlock at all.

I-5 North from Orange County to Chatsworth (Van Nuys) was no picnic either.

Well it is warm here. It is 20 Degree Celsius and above. Winters are over :(

I think I should not start on how much pathetic driving is in India

cold in new orleans, near freezing the past couple of nights, thank goodness, no snow!

it would be nice if driver's licenses required the same level of competency for driving as pilot's licenses for flying (with the associated mandatory training.) bad drivers, with no regard to skin color or social status could be weeded out. 1/3 less drivers would be good!

Temps in the teens again last night; was up to 25F, now it has dropped to 21F + heavy snow.

Our snow storm turned into an ice storm.

~2" of snow covered by 1-2" of ice. Fun driving this morning -- NOT!

Another winter storm is on its way - expecting 14" of new fresh powder tonight here at the New Jersey beach area.

That would make it the largest sole snow accumulation storm so far this winter.

Temp has dropped to 19°F - on it's way down to 6°F tonight.

Snowing heavily w/ >1 foot of new powder on the ground.

The kids are out sledding & having a ball. :D

  • 00:09:44 Move faster, men! Move! Chop! Heave!
  • 00:09:48 The ice is freezing faster than it's melting! Chop faster! Heave, men!

  • 00:09:58 We'll get to the Arctic Circle, lads!
To all the people dealing with snow.:lolg:

Definitely spring here. It's pretty warm and humid to be honest.

We also had a solar eclipse today. As per usual with British weather though it was basically just a grey sky. In fact today it was incredibly grey today - just a massive sheet of thick cloud across the entire sky, and apparently pretty much the whole of the UK too.

There are some pictures here: Solar Eclipse 2015: Dozens of Mancunians complain of sore eyes after being dazzled by rare phenomena - Manchester Evening News (click on "View Gallery" a little down the page).
