Computer Shuts Down Improperly During Sleep Mode

Just now at 1:52 pm EDT I was watching a video when my computer suddenly, and for no reason shut down. This is the first time this has ever happened. I thought you should know.

In looking for the BIOS I came across files to update as below:

I thought the Desktop Power Manager might be relevant. I was able to download that and the Intel ACHI Driver. However, I was faced with a number of choices for the BIOS and I am not sure what to choose. I understand that choosing the wrong one could render my computer inoperable. I'd like guidance on how should I proceed with this. Here are the choices:

Tonight I'll try putting the computer to sleep and see if the issue with the computer shutting down still happens or not.

After completing the BIOS upgrade run the steps in this link and upload results into this thread:

I just finished upgrading the BIOS so I don't know if the issue is fixed at this point. I'd have to let the computer go into "Sleep" for a few hours and see if it shut down my computer. I'm working on the scans zbook requested now.

zbook - I'm on step #3 of the information you requested. I understand this might take a few hours. Am I correct in thinking this will run in the background and I can do other things on my computer in the meantime?
By the way, when i started this step it asked if I wanted to install "Hotfix for Windows (KB947821). I answered "Yes." It hung on "Initializing Installation for 15 minutes and I cancelled it. I didn't think it should take that long just to initialize the installation. Is that okay?

Thank you xbook. I later got a message that the the program (I assume the Hotfix for Windows) did install.
Will the program in step 3 that takes a few hours be able to work in the background while I do other things?

Open task manager > if processes percentages are relatively low then you should be able to have it run in the background.

Thanks for your help in ruling out some possibilities. I understand this is a process. I very much appreciate the work that you guys do.
