Sorry about that last post. Wasn't meant to be text. I failed at posting a pic. Anyhow the First update listed is (KB2864202). I tried to only select that update and it failed. Failure code is 800706A9. Here are the files in a zip: View attachment CBS.zip

Thank you for the logs.

Please attach or upload C:\Windows\Inf\setupapi.dev.log in your next post.

In addition, please try to install the second update in your list. If the update fails to install, please provide the name of the update (KB number), associated error code and attach or upload
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log again.

Hello timeshredder,

Did you try to install the second update in your list? If not, please do so and upload C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log immediately after. Provide the name of the second update, and error code as well please.

It doesn't appear you first tried to install the second update in your list before uploading CBS.log in post #24.

Please attempt to install the second update, then upload C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log again, and provide the name of the update and error code.

Thank you.

timeshredder,

Apologies for the delay.

I'm still missing information of which you have yet to provide. Please go into Windows Update and note down the first three updates (KB number) in your list of updates waiting to be installed.

Thank you.

Hello,

As you intend on upgrading to Windows 10, I suggest using the
media creation tool and attempting the upgrade. This appears to be the simplest solution to the current issues you're experiencing based on the information in your last few posts.

Begin by disconnecting any external or non-essential USB devices from your computer. Perform a clean boot as instructed here and use the media creation tool linked above to upgrade to Windows 10.

Let me know how you get on.
