DELL 5010 Motherboard Change causing frequent BSOD

Okay i'll run it in the evening when I get home from college.
Is the genuinity of my OS such a big concern and the only possible cause for the BSOD?
 
Operating systems with cracked code to bypass Microsoft GVA and Activation will often have to quiet the AV/Malware programs this can trigger a BSOD and since it's Windows Defender that is named in many of the dumps a very good possible source of your problem.

So a hardware change could have messed up with that program and caused Windows Defender to trigger the BSOD, right?

Save it to your desktop - you may need it a few times :)

Nope, you need to get a genuine operating system.

I've just learned the old validation tool doesn't work with Windows 8, and has been replaced with a much less informative version. That's why the Unsupported OS is within the report.

Your computer was originally shipped with Windows 7 right? Then you will have already have a key to activate with, providing you still have the same motherboard.
 
No the laptop came with no OS, i installed Windows 7 on my own before. I had a key for that. But now i have Windows 8. Also, the motherboard has been replaced (as i mentioned before).


*IMP* I removed Windows Defender and installed back AVG and have not got any BSOD since yesterday, as opposed to 3-4 BSOD in a day.



 
I would install Windows 7 again since you actually have a key for the operating system, and was it a System Builder disc or a retail version?

That's what I'd imagine.

Since the motherboard was replaced and I can only assume it was the same motherboard, it still should activate without issue. However, if you do end up having an issue activating it, choose the 'activate by phone' method and tell the operator your issue and it will likely be activated.
 
I got a physical cd with a key on it.
Okay I'll change my OS back to that.

I am also getting another problem since the past 3 day. Whenever I turn off or hibernate my laptop at night, it never turns on in the mrng. Taking it to a repair centre and simply removing all parts n putting them back in again does the trick, but next night the same thing happens. Also the cmos time is 3.15am daily. It works fine during the whole day, no matter how many times I turn it on/off.

I'll get a cmos battery replacement today and if it doesn't work, another motherboard replacement. :(
 
Bios was the latest version (A15) before the motherboard replacement and worked just fine. Didn't check it after the replacement.
 
BIOS is currently A12. Getting a valid Windows operating system is first priority. Once that is done, then you should update to A15 from Dell's support site.

Warning

Do not update to A15 on your current Windows installation. The instability of the OS at the moment could cause your system to be bricked.

 
How can you say my bios would be A12? :/
And sure, I'll change the OS first. Laptop is still off since yesterday night, it was a holiday today here.

Thanks for that. I got the laptop to open up today, and the repair person switched it on directly from the motherboard and closed it back, and it became working again. I tried turning on/off 3 times there and it worked nicely.

Got back home, and alas! It stopped turning on again. This time it wasn't even night, like the previous 2 days. :(

Would go to the repair center again tomorrow. He says he'll try 2 change the motherboard again.
