[SOLVED] Error 0x800f0831 on KB5033118

I assume the failed update involves KB5034439, If so you can hide this update for now: Issues with KB5034439 on Windows Server 2022? This is how you can temporarily hide this update.

Hmm, that's odd. Please attempt to update again, as soon as KB5034439 fails try to hide it again.

I did just a test on one of my servers and as soon error 0x80070643 appeared I was able to hide this update?

And after a reboot I'm still able to hide this update.

I understand it's working on your system but it doesn't on mine. Probably the tool can not have access to the information because of some restrictions (this server's configuration is hardened with CIS baseline).

Never mind, I'll leave it like that.

I suspected that would be the cause why you can't hide the update. You can ignore that failure and wait for a new release if it ever gets released. For now Microsoft solution is to resize the Win RE partition as documented here.
