error 0x800f0831 when trying to install print server role. Server 2016

im not sure exactly what you mean by rolled over, overwritten maybe? ill do you one better ill run the command that hangs again and ill give you a fresh log with a unique name so you know which ones which. :)

No, you misunderstood. I need the whole CBS folder because a lot of data was recorded and it was so big that it did not fit into the log so another log called CBS_persist<date_time>.log was created.

Okay I think I understand now. I have labeled the persist files with the dates they where generated which should help you finding the right ones. Three are on the same date probably because I ran the command multiple times. If its to much crap data let me know and ill clear everything out and we will start fresh.

CBS - Google Drive

Please provide the log after the command has completed.

The command has still not completed. and there has been no progress made in the progress bar. According to the CBS log it has been erroring out since the 20th.

English (united states). though I admit I could be looking in the wrong spot. Is this setting in the control panel under language?

Let me check something actually!

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service and just provide the link here.
