[SOLVED] Errors with SFC and SFCfix

Hello, and thanks,

No problem with Windows Update. WU was never really the problem, it pretty much always worked. The real problem has always been with SFC and slowness of Windows itself (which you've resolved over the last two months).

I believe the freezing problem is due to some software, will check it out. It's pretty random, so not really a big problem.

While I have some pretty serious security softwares working in tandem with each other, I will check out the Security Area sometime.

Next steps? :cool3:

Thanks

Hello,

With this mind, we can wrap up our work in this topic. :dsmile: In regards to the slowness, I would give troubleshooting in the clean boot environment a go, and see if you can identify a possible culprit. The following article may also be of some assistance on troubleshooting general slowness.

While I have some pretty serious security softwares working in tandem with each other, I will check out the Security Area sometime.
Absolutely. And if you have not noticed any other issues or potential symptoms, the issue unlikely stems from malware. However, having said that, there's never any harm in double-checking.

Thank you for your patience throughout this topic.

All the best.

Hello,

So I don't need to do the DISM/Online... (if you recall, the last time we had a clean SFC /scannow result -- some weeks back -- DISM was still showing an error).

If not, then thank you muchly! You basically saved me from a complete Windows and Programs reinstall, which I was dreading.

This has been just great...thanks again.

Hello,

So I don't need to do the DISM/Online...
Yes, that's correct. In the end, we determined the errors reported by DISM were not impacting functionality of Windows Update, and were therefore better left alone

thanks again.
That's quite alright. :dsmile: I will mark your topic as solved.

Take care.
