[SOLVED] Fail to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 – error 0xC1900101 - 0x40017

There is a hacktool present or remnants of it to use Windows and / or Office not legitimately.
It is against the rules to help people with an illegal operating system or other illegally used programs.

Do you agree that we continue to do a repair attempt for this computer that will also remove the hacktool ?

Hm. I have no idea, but I take this into account 🤔 It's not my laptop and the previous owner doesn't remember but he says it could be so 🙄
Surely we can remove the hack tool and try to upgrade again.

Okay.

Step 1:
Uninstall following programs:

Thank you. I uninstalled all 3 apps. I ran FRST and uploaded Fixlog.txt to /Dropbox/post#24.

I see (in this log) that FRST couldn't remove that weird Opera extension - so I did it by myself in Opera app settings. And now I don't see its folder (%AppData%\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Extensions\ekkkepjmhgnbnejjkicjaepcagonagpe).

Good. Perform a new scan with FRST.

FRST Scan:
  1. Right-click to run FRST64.exe tool as administrator.
Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  2. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  3. Press the Scan button.
  4. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  5. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.
