Hi,

Could you please run ComponentsScanner, perhaps it will log all the compromised keys into the registry.

This looks better, please attempt to update and let me know the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

It works, thanks a lot!
BTW, I'm just wondering if it's possible to do a thorough health check on the system to identify corrupted files that might get in the way of next update?

Hi,

Glad to hear the latest fix resolved the issue..

There are several reasons for this kind of corruptions, although it is difficult to ascertain what the exact cause was.
- Third-party cleaning tools such as registry cleaners and/or doubtful optimizing tools.
- Power and system failures or forced shutdowns during the Windows Update process.
- Hardware issues such as a malfunctioning harddrive or memory corruptions.

I would recommend to check the following first:
- Memory: Test RAM with PassMark MemTest86 (version 7.4 was used)
- HDD/SSD: Hard Drive (HDD) Diagnostics (Sea Tools for DOS) & SSD Test
