Graphics card stops system from booting

Well I came home to a blue screen today!
With the graphics card, or integrated?

Stop error code 0x000000C1

Artifacts sure points to graphics issues. Running memtest won't hurt, but I suspect the graphics card. You might use Speccy (from the makers of CCleaner) to verify the GPU temperatures are okay - if your graphics solution has a temperature sensor.

Make sure the system is clean of heat trapping dust. And if me, I would swap in a spare, known good power supply and see what happens.

Keep us posted.

I've tried to clean out the system as best I could. I really went to town with my air can. I also put in a brand new psu (Antec 650w) that I had lying around waiting for my next build. I don't remember if it was in when I posted about that crash.

So far it looks like two of memory slots might also be bad stacked on top of my graphics card going. I'm not sure yet though and I'm still running tests. I'm gonna drop this thread and move over to the one I started in BSOD.

Finally got around to testing the card in another system to make sure it was the problem. Hooked it all up, hit the start button, and two or three sparks flew from the graphics card. That puts any uncertainty I might have had to rest, that's for sure!
